Oslo, March 03,
2010 -- Norwegian Muslims celebrate birth day of Prophet of
Islam (PBUH). Functions in the context are being held for
last week and would continue till next week in Oslo,
the capital of Norway. Above 130,000 Muslim expatriates from
different countries are based in Norway and Norwegian
Pakistanis are the largest community among them.
Pakistanis in
Norway have a number of mosques and religious centres
including largest mosque of Jamaate Ahle Sunnat and Islamic
Cultural Centre in Oslo.
Beside the newly
built mosques, there are some other religious institutions
like world Islamic mission, Idarae Minhajul Quran, Bazme Naqshaband, Ghosia Muslim Soceity,
Anjumane Hussaini, Toheed Islamic Centre and Markaze Ahle ul
Bait.
Markazi Jamaate
Ahle Sunnat held a gathering last week and a procession in
street was also followed by the function.
The day of birth
of Prophet of Islam is called Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW) on
12th Rabi ul Awwal 1429-AH to be held last weekend. The
day is observed with a view to project the life, Seerah and
disseminate the teachings of Holy Prophet (SAW).
On this day, the
big processions and function are being held in the different
islamic countries and Muslims through out the world.
A large number
of believers participated in a Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) rally
under the aegis of Jamaate Ahle Sunnat mosque Oslo last
weekend
offered tribute of Darood-o-Salam to benefactor of humanity
and Allahs Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).
Muslims came
from out of the country to Norway and they also brought
their religious and cultural traditions to the country.
Celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is also one of the
religio-cultural traditions which was shifted from out site
of the country.
People in
Pakistan celebrate the birth day of Prophet of Islam with
extreme religious spirit and deep affection with the
prophet. Holding green flags and banners the participants
raised slogans Marhaba Ya Mustafa and offered Darood and
Salam to Allahs last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW)
throughout the processions in Pakistan. Special prayers to
be held at during the processions. |
