Oslo, Feb 25, 2010 – A man arrested in the case of
abduction of a Norwegian Pakistani girl (26) admitted that
she was abducted and murdered. The 26 yaers old, Faiza
Ashraf was first kidnapped and then killed, the accused
confessed.
Norwegian police investigation has led to the conclusion
that we have found her dead body under the heavy snow at
locality of Asker near Oslo, the capital, "said police
officials in a press conference this morning.
The body has been discovered as the 25 year old accused
confessed the crime. The police identified the site at 23
o'clock Wednesday night and investigating personnel had been
working on site all night. The dead woman was removed from
the site in the morning hours.
The preliminary autopsy report will soon be appeared. So
far, two men have been summoned in the case. A 28-year
Norwegian Pakistani man for having ordered the abduction,
and the 25-year ethnic Norwegian committed the abduction and
murder. The breakthrough in the case came when the
25-year-old acknowledged during interrogation that he
abducted and killed her.
- He gave information that led to her being found. Details
surrounding the murder and the circumstances we can not give
because of the investigation, said the police..
On the basis of his explanation, she was killed the same day
as the abduction. Accusation against 25-year-old is now
extended to the murder, while 28-year-old charged with
involvement in the case.
- Since we have extended the indictment to murder, we
believe that it was planned to kill Faiza, "said Nina Bjørlo,
the police officail to VG Nett (Norwegian Newspaper).
28-year-old, Norwegian Pakistani man is still refuses any
involvement with the case. He still denies any knowledge of
the matter, "said Bjørlo.
