Iranian former diplomat, Reza Hydary granted Asylum in Norway

Oslo, Feb 19, 2010 -- The former consul at the Embassy of Iran in Oslo who resigned from his official position at the end of December, has been granted political asylum in Norway on Wednesday. Granting of the asylum is also for his wife and two children. He is reportedly resigned from his position in protest against his own government allegedly the use of violence against demonstrators in Iran.

On other hand, according to the Embassy sources, Hydary worked in the consul section of the embassy for more than two years and he was summoned by the authorities after the end of his mission in Norway.
